    I love very much the second one! I'm jealous: I'm not so rective to capture this kind of instant..

    watching again, perhaps in the #1 the eye seems a bit softer than the rest of the body and perhaps I see a little halo around the head...

    Thank you very much for you warm comments, Nicola. Yes, the eyes are a bit soft. This bird keeps on bobbing his head so its hard to position the central cross-type focus sensor of my camera in his eyes. When I saw that his head was on the perfect position that I want I pressed the shutter and I think the focus landed on the chest. That's not a halo you are seeing, that is probably the effect of having some light areas on top of the birds' head. I'll try to do better next time.
