Oamaru South Island NZ

Went to Oamaru in the south island a few weeks ago. This is my favorite town in the south island of NZ with lots of character. Has one of the world's most notable collection of buildings from the Victorian era still remaining, which are worth photographing. Tried some night shots using a Joby portable tripod which I stood on the cars bonnet.

oh you have made me homesick - as that is close to the deep south where I am from... I can even see the familiar 'Speights' sign beckoning to the thirsty traveller....

Thank you all for your comments. Kay my wife is a Southlander, comes from Invercargill We could easily live in Oamaru, but usual story, business, friends and a warmer climate keeps us in the north island. I still find Central Otago a magic place and we will be going there again next year. Might do the Central Otago Railway Bike Trek if I am fit enough.
