    Hi Steve,

    That is Charing Cross Station.

Waterloo Station is off to the left of this picture, on the other side of the river to Charing Cross, Waterloo is not really visible from the river due to buildings that get in the way. Here's a shot from the London Eye (not mine).

Sorry I can't really help with the others, I only know the above because I was on the London Eye (the large ferris wheel) a few years ago and took pictures of it and Waterloo from 'up there'. I think the building behind/to right of the London Eye in your picture is Somerset House.

Try google maps (with satellite images on) to identify the rest.

    Cheers,

I suspect it is part of the bank defences - you wouldn't want a wayward tour boat or barge colliding with all that timber piling and bringing down the street above

Looks like a large inflatible cushion tied in a line (with others probably). I don't recognise the monument though and have failed to locate it on google's satellite pictures (but perhaps it is too new - the balloon bouy, not the monument!).

    Cheers,
It is confusing Dave I was thinking it was some sort of exhibition hall. I caught a bus outside parliament to Charing Cross and the bus stop was just outside Trafalger. I was waiting for a 59 or 91 for ages until I saw one come out of another street, walked there to find yet another bus stop called Charing Cross.

Here is a very strange edit; I was trying to find something different even though I was on a boat.

Yes, bus travel in London is confusing; each route number has a stop with the same name, and as you've found, frequently on a different street. Not that I do bus travel much these days in town - I tend to either 'tube', or walk, something I appreciate you can't these days

You have succeeded in most; you had a 'good cloud' day, which has allowed some more interesting compositions. I like this one too

I would be well chuffed with that one Steve. The composition, colours it just really works.

Cheers Steve; I was hoping to get an inside story of Fleet St, this was one of the only things I could see on my own, the others I've junked now.
