Wilpena Pound - South Australia
I love panoramas. This one is of Wilpena Pound in the South Australian Flinders Ranges.
Taken with a Canon 1000D with standard kit lens using 3 images. Post processing only done in Picasa.

Excellent! Great composition. Very good lead in lines. Good colours. And all done with an inexpensive camera and lens. Well done.

Andre, I can only repeat what Rob and Kay have said. I love it when someone produces this kind of image using basic tools. It is a lesson to us all

Andre
I'm just catching up after having been away for a few days.
Like the others have said - a beauty. That is an excellently put together image.
I'm not a huge fan of panoramas, but when they are done well, as some others on here can do and which you have done here, they are very impressive.

agree very nice composition, just notice on the LHS edge it has different tone, did you use polarising filter when shooting the images?

Re: Wilpena Pound - South Australia
Thanks Donald, I do like to create panoramas when the situation calls for it. It's important to "keep it real" and there are situations where you need just that little bit more to make the image complete.
Thanks for your valued comment.
I had a look at your website and I admire your ability to visualise your scenes in black & white - I wish I could do that. Looking at the simplicity of your excellent B&W images has inspired me to try some for myself.

Re: Wilpena Pound - South Australia
Yes, Dantè, I used a polariser. It was about 10:30 and the light was really harsh. I just added some shadow during post processing in Picasa and I was amazed how it brought all the true colours back into the image.
