What do I do Now?
IT'S HERE!
After many weeks of waiting, finally got my first dsrl!!
Now, what do I do?
Together with the camara, I received CD's with various software:
1- Software Instruction Manual - Which I believe I don't need to bother with. I am reading and following a very nice book on how to use my camera and its features (Canon 60D, from snapshots to great shots) and above all I have CiC to teatch![Big Grin](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/biggrin.png)
2- EOS Solution Disk with various programs:
Digital photo pro
Zoom Browser
EOS Utility
Photostich
Original Data Security Tools
Picture Style Editor
WFT Utility
The question is: given that I already have CS5 and LR3, should I install all these others? Or would it be just a waste of memory?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Eduardo

Re: What do I do Now?
hi Eduardo,
also I use LR3 and CS5.
I installed it with once and gave it a try but to be honest I almost never used the software provided with the camera.

Re: What do I do Now?
You'll probably move towards all the extras as time goes by but for now you can do without the extra browsers and only add the others as needed. Follow the setup guidelines for the camera and you'll be fine. I survived for years with just a basic photo editor, only because my system resources couldn't handle the extras, and finally moved to Photoshop Elements when I wanted to do some extra with my photos.

Re: What do I do Now?
You may find EOS Utility handy for downloading photos.
There are other ways but I find the EOS Utility is a simple solution.
I wouldn't bother with the others unless you find a specific need for them.
