    Sicilian Festa

We are fortunate in having a great ethnic diversity in the Greater San Diego, California Area. I shot this young couple today at the Annual Sicilian Festa in the Little Italy section of San Diego...

A few more... I was not feeling too well during the Festa so I did not remain there very long.

What's so good about this as a set, Richard, is that it gives us (well, me anyway) a real sense of the event. By taking us in close to the action, we can feel a part of it.

I think that I need to get my blood pressure meds stabilized. It's no fun being dizzy!

The crowds were quite heavy and the street was narrowed by booths on each side reducing the width to less than four meters (~12 feet or so).

I usually do quite well in crowds. I have been a photographer for so many years that I don't feel bad at all politely jostling someone out of my way. I just didn't feel like combating the crowds yesterday.

Here is a shot I culled because of the back of the head in the foreground. But it gives an idea of the packed street...

Sorry you were not feeling well Richard.. ! I hope you feel better, these are great shots from someone who wasn't feeling well.
I love how vibrant the colours are. It's not fun feeling dizzy, I hope you get that worked out. Happens to me all the time too I have a rare form of arthritis and I can't always do as much as I want to.

Good work Richard. I am in agreement with Donald (but I rarely disagree with Donald).
