Nice capture, Steve. What kind of birds are they if I may ask?
OMG Great shot and the caption... It's priceless. I have never seen a nest with young herons, it must be quite a thrill to watch them. Sure hope to see more shots
Wendy
That's amazing, I would like to know what kind of birds they are too.
I expected to see a frowning child but this is nice.
Priceless!
That's one of those you could use ina competition for the best voice bubble from one or other of the birds, to see if we can better your own suggestion.
Spectacular timing Steve. A pretty unique image, I would suggest .

Good capture Steve. The baby Herons are quite big already. I took a trip to the rookery to see if a shot is possible here and our trees have leafed out to much and it was quite impossible. Glad to see you were able to get through the tangle.

Thanks willie, they are Great Blue Herons.

Thanks donald, good idea. Perhaps i'll edit one with a bubble and get everyone to put in a quote.

Thanks paul. It's not too bad on a couple of nest, but getting a bit cluttered though. I would love to catch a few with their first flight from the nest.
You know... I am amazed that I - an American - am the one pointing this out...
But this instantly made me think of the BBC's Walk on the Wild Side clips I've seen on the web.
Nice shot, Steve, and thanks for the infusion of humor!
