Beautiful Landscapes..
Thanks for that.. Nice shoots

Hi Rasika,
Welcome back, long time, no hear (well, November).
I trust your son and daughter are well.
I hope you find my comments helpful:
#1; nice cloud/landscape, if it were mine, I think I'd lighten the exposure on the foreground somewhat
#2; very good feeling of depth to this one, I think you achieved what you intended here, I think this could be improved by a local contrast enhencement, which is something I learnt here from Sean's tutorial on the topic
#3; nice pic, but there's a lot of empty space on the left and at the top, on balance, I think cropping 15% of the left hand edge would still leave the open feeling and blue sky appeal of the shot
#4; good atmospherics, almost there, difficult to suggest anything in case it spoils it in some way, maybe a gentle local contrast boost?
#5; it is dark, but fixing that would ruin the atmosphere, it's also a bit noisy (high ISO I guess due to conditions), might be worth some noise reduction in PP, then maybe just a touch of increased 'exposure'
#6; this is (to my eyes) a weird one, I can't work out what should be "level", this may well be as shot, this is not a criticism, just an observation of the optical effect, part of me wants the top of the mist to be level, but then the clouds would be at a really crazy angle! Maybe a bit more blue in the sky?
General observations;
A good bunch of pictures; you clearly have an eye for what's interesting and good compositional skills.
All your shots are the same aspect ratio, rather than being cropped slightly (in PP) to suit the picture content.
Also, most, if not all, would be improved by the local contrast technique first mentioned in comment #2, I use it on almost everything I shoot that's got "landscape" in it.
Thanks for reading,
Hi Rasika,
I work with a guy from Sri Lanka (he's in IT too) and he's always saying how beautiful your native country is.
Do you have a 'Sri Lankan' gallery at picsOnThe Go? (Nice site and Intro/About by the way)
I could only see the main galleries, which are mostly Singapore I think.
I ask because I wanted send him a link to some of your excellent Sri Lanka images, like the ones here which seem to be on photobucket.
Thanks,
Hi Dave,
Actually i have not set up Sri Lankan images yet on my site. I'm currently working on that. Since I'm working in Singapore I used to visit Sri Lanka very remotely. Btw, who is your friend from SL?? I'm from capital, Colombo.
As he said SL is a beautiful country of course. When i was in SL i really enjoyed safari and wild life activities. Unfortunately I didn't have a good camera those days . Well I will post SL images soon in my website.
R u on msn?'
Thanks. KIT.

I could Colin, but I don't think he's got the photography bug himself (it takes allsorts )
HI Rasika, thanks for the update.
His name is Sisira, I'll ask him Monday where he comes from, I don't think it was Colombo.
I use windows live messenger at home, I get confused with which system is which, but I don't think that is MSN, is it?
Cheers,
I continue to be amazed at how similar these look to many places in New Zealand - I didn't realise that our two countries had so much scenery in common.
