Printing on Parchment or Vellum Papers
I am looking into printing on translucent media - parchment or vellum.
Does anyone have experience with this using pigment inks? If so, what paper and how did it go?
So far, the information I have found indicates that these types of paper are suitable for dye based inks and not pigment.
Thanks

Re: Printing on Parchment or Vellum Papers
Hi Jo,
SHort answer is "no" I'm afraid ![Frown](https://cdn.cambridgeincolour.com/forums/images/smilies2/frown.png)
However, I do have a suggestion ... just get some and try it
I've a feeling that it'll either work of it won't!
Paper suppliers might have more info?

www.inkjetmall.com find contact number (toll free) and ask for Jon Cone (0r, Wells). If he doesn't know, it can't be done.

Re: Printing on Parchment or Vellum Papers
Thanks to you both Colin and Chris!
I've done a little more research - seems like it can be done. Biggest issue is that you have to back off on the ink load and that the ink takes longer to dry. My darling spouse says he has some vellum kicking around so I am going to experiment. And I will check out inkjet mall too.
I'll post what I learn in case anyone on CIC is interested.
Thanks again!
