I need to send in a headshot for the newspaper I work for by tomorrow, and I don't have time to take a picture.. (lol) So I found one on my computer from a few months ago I took on with my webcam.. I was wondering if someone really good with PS or LR or any editing program can make this look decent enough to send in..I can't get my LR to work..
(not that I know what I am doing with it) but now it won't even open.. yikes.. THANKS so much!!! If anyone could do this for me, I would be very grateful!! (It doesn't have to be a stunning portrait, it's only going to be a very small picture under my story.. it just has to be a bit sharper I think )

Shoemakers and photographers...
It is sad but true, shoemakers kids never have shoes and photographers never have pictures of themselves... Anyway, I am pretty sure about the photographers part of that statement!

I didn't think it would work for a newspaper because my hair is across my face. I am not good at getting my photo taken when I have to "pose". I always look "stiff" lol.

I think it depends on what sort of effect you want, Shannon.
Your avatar photo has something of a sensual appearance while the image in this post is more of a very straight 'passport' type of photo.
But I don't pose for photos either.

LOL, Ya it's not fun to pose for photos.. I prefer the avatar photo as well, I figured a "passport" type photo was better for a newspaper, sort of straight forward...no smiling.. etc. I might have to think about getting another photo for the next edition..
