Good composition on the first image. Nice use of first and secondary subject. I would probably blur the background a bit more.
For the second one, keep the angle. If you make it too horizontal, you would lose the dynamism of the shot. I would actually even advise you to incline it a bit more.
That is too much blur for me, Bob.
I liked seeing the rig in the background which gave a sense of the setting. Maybe just a light pass with a low opacity Blur Brush might be worth a go.
But the main little thing which I found slightly distracting was those two white dishes on top of the rig. Possibly communication equipment?
I would be tempted to clone them out as I find them the most distracting of all.
Flying birds, particularly white ones, are difficult to photograph so these are good photos.
Excellent timing in terms of the position of the bird relative to the rig. A very imaginative capture that makes it stand out from the crowd and that in itself gives it a lot of credence. But it it is very well captured and presented.
I also go with what Geoff has said immediately above.
thank you gentlemen, I will give that a bit of work when I get back home. I'm really fascinated with the new lens.
Still a work in progress, I present the latest Removed the satellite dishes at the bottom and the light at platform level.
I tried to use a light blur, but I keep getting too much, so I reverted back to the original. Perhaps I'll play with that some more and if I'm happy I post again. Otherwise, I need more practice
The subtle changes you did added strength to the image. Nice work, Bob.
