Hi, Does anyone no if there is an adaptor to allow an Arca plate to be attached to a manfrotto 804RC2 so I can use an L bracket rather than buying another ball head?

You could get a Kirk Enterprises quick release clamp http://www.kirkphoto.com/Blemished_2...ase_Clamp.html . It's drilled for 1/4x20, but you should be able to either drill and tap it for 3/16x16 to use your existing RC2 plate, or change the bolt in your existing RC2 plate to a 1/4x20 to attach it.

Manfrotto offers a non-camera specific L-bracket for their quick release system...
