Paul,
That is an awesome shot! Not only the pose (which is quite the regal, "I know I'm all that" pose), but the detail of his feathers and markings with the contrast of the grass is perfect. This is the kind of shot I'd like to see in a field guide... a realistic, true to life shot. Way to go!

I like it a lot, Paul. This is a very good shot for me. Nice shot, Man.
Thank you Frankie and Jiro. I was surprised at how light and wispy his feathers are.
Paul,
Did he do this repeatedly? I think if you put those two frames together repeatedly in an animation, you could have the new hit craze on the internet and possibly the newest dance craze (coming soon to Dancing with the Stars?)!
I'm sure there is some equally crazy music to go with the dance (and no Yakkity Sax! it needs something original).

Bill, No he did it only once, but I did get a few shots inbetween. lol That would be funny to see animated.
Yes John, I tried to get down to his level. I was lucky not to spook him off.
Great shot Paul your western flickers look definitely different from these in Tn. love em both !!
Both shots are great. The first is outstanding in detail, composition and color. Not bad for an "old" camera.
