Hi Rasika - Thanks for posting these images. Nos 1 and 8 look particularly good to me, because the areas of interest are all in the same focal plane. I've tried taking shots of flowers, both with and without macro settings and I usually end up disappointed because the whole image is not in focus. Sometimes that may not matter, sometimes it does - personal preference.

I've also tried using multiple shots focusing at different planes and then combining the images with free software called CZM (I think there are commercial packages ?Helicon) and the results are much better. However, you have to have very still conditions outside so that there is no movement of the plant between exposures.

Hi Rasika,

I'm in agreement with David (good name that!); #1 and #8 work best for me.

A slightly better depth of field is the one area where my small sensor camera wins out over a DSLR.
