Beautiful! This website is sometimes like going to a museum. I like the original. Skyscape, cityscape, waterscape. The Pylon reflections..wow. I did try one thing though, I covered up the right side - all of the far away pylons - with a paper and the foregound popped out and the city seemed to feel better, maybe because balanced with hills on left? Anyways, I agree with Rob, that is a wall piece.....

Ok, tried one more crop with a few "editorial" edits removing a few pylons. Here's the latest:

    Stormy San Franciso Twilight
San Francisco Storm by Dave Michaud

    My favorite version so far...

But what's that right in the middle and underneath the bridge? Is it a bit distracting?
Robs red, white and blue scaffolding and yes it is distracting - it can be seen from space apparently.

Dave, I am not the worlds greatest fan of soft water but I really do like this one (probably because there are no shiny rocks) This style of photograph is played to death but this one really stands out from the crowd.

All versions are quite nice but I must say the second is it for me. I wonder if the work you did on the last would improve even the second shot? Nice work.

I love them all, but I liked the first one just fine...there isn't a photo any of us do that oculdn't be improved upon. I tend to stay with my 'gut" scene, the one I see in my head before popping the trigger, though obviously, I've made more than one edit as a result of waht others have commented on.

What lens did you use for this shot?

    Thanks Chris! I used a Canon EF-S 17-55 2.8, a real workhorse for me.

    Hi Dave,

I liked the first one, the second a little less as I thought the sky was worth having.

In the third, you have removed potentially a few too many poles in the water, there's a couple or so I'd have left in.

    Great shot, well done,
