Moss Pictures

Spring has finally sprung and there are lots of opportunities to take pictures of new growth and old growth. These little growths were growing on moss and such. I tought they were interesting and have never seen them before I am learning to look for the "little" things in life.

Why do you express speeds in 10/xxx0?

The program that I open up the pictures in "Adobe Elements" lists the speeds this way. Maybe I am misunderstanding what this actually means. Please let me know what I should be listing the shutter speeds as. I appreciate your help.

I don't know why they list this as 10/4000 second exposure. We would normally call it 1/400 second - simply another way of stating the same thing mathematically. You could also say 100/40,000 second but, that would be (although still correct) ridiculous.

I doubt that the exif is incorrect, i think it's a software mistake. try another program to ensure this. the speeds must be in 1/xxxx even if it is mathematically correct in other combinations.

we can not express apertures in 10:xx either. (by example)

Thank you I do have another program to check this in. I can also get it off the camera but formatted the card after I downloaded to the computer. Have a great weekend.
