I like these images, especially #2. More like photo art than traditional photography but photo art is increasingly becoming part of a new traditional photography. I like what people are doing with photography these days.

I think the essence of what Colin said in another post is true. The photographer (phartist) creates something that pleases him/herself and others have their own positive or negative interaction with the image. One can't say that chocolate ice cream is better than strawberry ice cream in a transcendent way, yet one can say I like chocolate or strawberry with accuracy.

Now, having said that, I will say there is such a thing as bad art or bad photography. Bad art can be recognized by a consensus just as a bad taste in ice cream can. All of this to say that posting images here is helpful to the aspiring phartist because the reactions and suggestions of others help us to see our work through other eyes. We may not always agree with what others see or say about our work because the comments are usually one man/woman's opinion. However, sharing with other photographers with varying skill levels helps us identify blind spots and reinforce what is good about our work. One thing that I appreciate here is that others see small details that I may not have noticed because I'm usually looking at a total image and in so doing, I miss small details that need attention.

Sorry for getting windy Professional, the first paragraph says it all for me. I particularly like #2...the overall effect is dramatic.

In fact i created a thread in 2 or 3 websites/forums titled with: "Art in Photography", also i got many comments and replies, but from what i have read or what i will do is that i should satisfy myself and get improve myself and i shouldn't always look at what others will like or not, and sooner or later i will reach that level where i can make people to get satisfied with my photos about 90% which is perfect for me, no need to have 100% but i wish, so until that i will keep shooting and practicing again and again, and now after i won 3 times [2 times last year and once this year] i can say that i am doing great.

By the way, i was thinking to give up photography because i feel myself i can't do great later because i live in different and difficult country with no much landscapes which i look for and because i spent a lot of money on gear/equipment where all people saying it is not the tool but the photographer and i know that but i said that in one forum that i don't have a goal or a reason or a purpose of photography and i don't know what i want or need so they told me it will be a big problem, because i will never stop to buy and i will never feel happy with my photographs.

I went to UAE in December 2008, I think it is a nice place, and its surrounding areas are also very beautiful (such as Omen and Qatar). I am sure there are infinite opportunities for landscape photography. Below are couple of my shots taken in UAE and Qatar.

I went to UAE in December 2008, I think it is a nice place, and its surrounding areas are also very beautiful (such as Omen and Qatar). I am sure there are infinite opportunities for landscape photography. Below are couple of my shots taken in UAE and Qatar.

The first one is great, but the second i don't like it but it is nice shot.

In fact i am not a fan of desert or our boats, i like green and rivers and lakes more, but i can't do anything to change our nature anyway.

Later i will show photos of my country, and i showed those the sea/beach waterscape shots from my country.
