Sky as dominate
I saw more interesting results in the sky as to the ground. Am I wrong?

Re: Sky as dominate
You are not "wrong," per se, but with the tops of the trees in the foreground so prominent, they pull the eye away from the sky. Try shooting from a vantage pint that eliminates the trees and I think you'll see a much stronger focus on the sky.
If you want some really dramatic sky shots, go about five miles up the Cajon pass and look off to the left where they filmed all the old Hop-a Long-Cassidy and Roy Rogers cowboy movies..incredible rock formations, which combined with this kind of sky would make some dlegihtful images.

thanks Chris, I had forgotten about that area, I will try to get out there soon. I was up in Washington when I shot this one last week. Looking at it again, my eyes go to the trees as well.
