Framing the frame

Bored during a sunny cold afternoon when the sun was almost setting; it cast a warm light through the window, such that it really seemed it was summer

The canvas is weaved from tiny fiber... looks it by trying to sharp the image, it led to some posterization...

Hi Zephyrise - Sometimes when a shot and its processing shows something undesirable you can remedy matters by exploiting the problem. In this case, if there is posterisation, use it. Here's a version from your image (I hope you don't mind my kidnapping your work).




What I did was take the original, created a second new layer, deliberately enhanced the posterisation to give a lot of flat colour, blurred it slightly and blended it with the original layer via "overlap". (This is a version of the so-called Orton Effect.) Having then flattened the image I used a perspective tool and then cropping to give this result. Total time 5 minutes. (Paint Shop Pro v9)
