Red woodant
This ant I shot a few weeks ago in one of our national parks (Hoge Veluwe NL).
He was defending himself against some photographer approaching his house.
Exif : 1/800 sec, F11.0, ISO 400, 65mm, flash
C&C welcome

Re: Red woodant
Tom,
This is a fantastic shot! Did you get any with more DoF? Did you get sprayed with formic acid?

Re: Red woodant
He sure looks like a very angry, Ant to me. I know how hard it is to make an exceptionally good macro shot so I have to commend you for trying it out and doing it. For me the 2nd image looks better on the sharpness issue but I like the pose and the angle on #1.

Re: Red woodant
The last one is a bit blurred, but the two previous photos work well.

Thanks all.
I hope I do have some time in the next weeks to go again to make some pictures.
If I have i'll place them.
