Found this little guy sitting for a change, they usually move very quickly and are impossible to capture.

It reminds me of the walking stick we had years ago, good camouflage. It was a female and reproduced on its own. After a while we had hundreds.

Since there was a cool looking caterpillar already post, I thought I would add one to the mix!

    Post your insects

And I believe Walking Sticks were mentioned as well, but these two don't appear to be reproducing on their own!

Amazing colours Terry. TBH, we don't get caterpillars like this in the Netherlands I think.

It was quite the little model too, Peter! I actually thought it liked having its photo shot!

May be hard to tell, but it was looking up at me saying "cheese"!

I can't blame it! It is a gorgeous creature!

The first is actually an "ex-insect"!

It is an abandoned (outgrown) exoskeleton.

Both shots look very good, but I like the first one most. Nice texture and detail and that being an ex-insect...

I'm a proper newbie to this discipline. Just recently bought the Sigma 150mm 2.8 and I'm loving some of the results. However seeing some of the shots just in this thread alone I know I've got another mountain to climb!

Here's a pic taken recently in Crete,

P.S. Where do I get a new set of knees?
