That is one awesome viewpoint, AL. You definitely showed the impression of depth on this shot by incorporating the shadows. I wish you are handy with photoshop so you can lower the exposure on the bright areas a little bit. Impressive. I like it very much! I really hope I can go home soon and visit the cordilleras and the mountain province once again to take pictures like this. Thank you very much for really making me homesick.
I visited Baguio with some Filipino friends during the Gran Canao (I don't know how to place the ~ over the n) festival when many indigenous mountain tribes joined together to perform their dances and display their handicrafts.

On the trip from Olongapo City to Baguio I saw some of the terraced rice fields along the way and it was a beautiful sight. That was a week I will remember all my life.
Lucky you, Richard. You had the chance to watch the festivals. I was trying to catch up with that but I just couldn't make it. There more of these rice terraces in the Banaue and Bontoc area, and it will be very disappointing if you forget to bring your camera. Thank you.
Al,
Another shot that reminds me of my trip to Bali. I agree with you how rice terraces work to harmonize man and nature. Here in the states, if they want to plant something, they just clear-cut the whole area and it sometimes looks horrible (sometimes fields of corn or wheat look nice, but when they're out of season, it just looks barren and desolate). I love how the rice terraces are part of the landscape, not changing it.
Beautiful capture.

Real cool
Hi and thanks Bill and Bobo. Rice has never been out of season for it is our staple food here and it is very vital for us.
