On my recent holiday I got one sunrise (that I'm going to post up here). I took mine just before the sun broke the horizon. I wanted to keep some detail in the land and it meant that the sun, once peeking over the horizon, was completely blown. I tried one and it just didn't work. So, it's gone into the bin.
You've made a better job of the sun itself than I did.
