    Thanks for all the comments. I enjoyed taking them. All were taken on a tripod, remote release, bulb, F11, about 54mm for the fireworks only and 28mm for the other.

    Wow. Some great fireworks photos.
    When I take them the colors tend to be washed out, though that is with backyard fireworks. Maybe the big ones look better?

    Just got lucky, as this was my first attempt. You see the exposure varied alot as I was searching for what worked without blowing the highlights.

    I'm thinking the aperture matters more for retaining color?
