I decided to post this one up next from my recent trip to France, based on the fact that Katy showed us the production shot' from one of her images in this thread earlier today.. This is the first and only 'serious' image I've made with someone else around; i.e. my partner, who made the 'production shot'.
We were driving through the countryside when I happened upon this scene. Immediately, I could see the image I wanted to make (whether I have done a good job or not is for you to decide yourself). I had to turn the car around and find somewhere to park off the road. My dearly beloved patiently waited whilst I captured the shot I wanted.
I was happy to have a very high sun, as I didn't want the island of trees casting a shadow. I also wanted the sun fully out from behind clouds in order to get the right light on the barley (that took a while as it kept dipping in behind small clouds - as you can see from the 'production shot' below)

Anyway, whilst I was standing in the ditch (which was dry) at the side of the road - in order to get low enough, her good self was back at the car taking this. The gorgeous coloured blob down at the roadside is me.
