I hope you consider it acceptable for me to have made a copy of your image. If not, please say so and I will remove it.

My purpose in doing so is to illustrate something that I think might be able to strengthen you images. Are you familiar with and do you use 'Local Contrast Enhancement' (the CiC Tutorial is here). I feel your images, whilst generally good compositionally, are a little flat in terms of tone and contrast.

Now, I like working within the grey and not necessarily putting the black and white clipping points of an image right up at the edges, thus keeping the contrast low. But for images such as these I think you do need more 'pop'. Local Contrast Enhancement' is one very effective way of introducing that.

The other thing I did to your image was to introduce a slight 'S' curve to increase contrast.

Of course, you may feel that this does not represent the image that you wished to make of this scene.
