I have had a quick scan of the posts on this thread and didn't see any mention of load capacity. (Forgive me if I scanned to quickly!). It is important that when you buy a tripod and head that they are capable of supporting the weight of your current equipment, and any future purchases if this is a one off investment. Manufacturers usually state the design capacity and some of the cheaper brands will not support very heavy equipment, so do be cautious.

I think the ones I just linked to stated the load capacity... most likely I'll have to get the best of what I can now, knowing that I'll replace it later... just the circumstances I am in right now.

i`ve just ordered a new tripod and for the price i think its a bargin and will meet all my needs, maybe worth a look

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fancier-56...item5add87668a

I cant find one with all the same features for a better price, I do a lot of macro work and this ticks all the boxes for me.
