This is my major revelation, in the last month or two, that "it's" "all" in the pp. I had no realization when I started this photography thing, then, I didn't want it to be like that but, there it is - pp is so important! I mean, yes, alright, we have to know how to take a good photo and get the goods in the first place (yada, yada...) but, still,....

and, we have to mess with the moderators - it keeps them humble!

Oh, and, of course I'm not lecturing you! I'm just at this place of epiphany about it all.

Except when its dark, but can you have light if there is no dark?

Mike, I think it is a great image. It has that primordial forest feel to it. It makes me think of the Bialowiezca, bison, Lada's, KGB and shots to the back of the neck. That or the Teutoburg and Arminius.

mmm doen't evoke the same feeling somehow. Talking of the Battle of the Bulge I have watched Band of Brothers a few time now. It really hits it with me somehow and the Battle of the Bulge episode particularly. I have read a few of Stephen Ambrose's books and they are hard to put down. Pegasus Bridge and D-Day are particularly vivid histories supported by oral accounts of the the guys that went through the nightmare. He does not over analyse, he simply tells the story.
