Uk film processing labs
Hi
I am about to embark on a journey - 'back to the future' by leaving my digital camera at home and venturing out armed with a medium format camera and a few roles of Fuji Velvia 50 120 film.
Does anyone still shoot film?
If so, can you recommend somewhere I can send my 120 film roles away to, to have them processed, slides created and the 'good' images scanned to a CD at high quality?
I say 'good' images because I have borrowed a friends, fathers Bronica which hasn't been used for about 15 years so I am unsure if the seals are still tight and everything still works correctly.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Uk film processing labs
This firm used to be Colab who were THE processing firm in the days of film. I can only go on what they did for me years ago for me. On one occasion they supplied prints for a wedding I did and they were superb. They are not cheap but then again nowhere is when you are talking 120 film. Jessops do it but they have to send to a specialists - you will also pay a premium for b/w

Re: Uk film processing labs
I used to use Colab too and they were always excellent and could push or pull film as directed. They were fast too. Are they still in business I wonder or is there another processor around that is more than just a 'chuck 'em through and get 'em out' processor. They don't have to be quick, but produce work of quality with excellent technique
