Chiroubles Awakening

Within the set of 18 images that I think are worth holding onto from my recent holiday in Beaujolais in France, there is a a sub-set of three images that are about dawn breaking over a village in the area.

I've already posted the images featuring the villages of Fleurie and Lancie.

This is Chiroubles.

That's beautiful for so many reasons. Love the sense of recession, the distant hills, the cloudscape, and most of all the way the vineyards are wrapped around the town like an old lady's shawl against the chill of morning

Again, someone has come up with the words that express exactly what I was feeling/sensing at the time of the capture. I thought I was usually quite good with words. But maybe there are times when I'm better at saying it with a camera.

I had pretty much the exact same reaction as Katy. This is the one Donald, absolutley beautiful. Not that the others are not great, but this really did make me sigh when I saw it, and that was before I read Katy's post.
