The Canon 7 claimed a 50 mm f 0.95 lens when it was introduced in 1961.
For a 50 mm lens to be f 0.95 the effective maximum diameter of the aperture must be 52.63 mm.
I see, so just wider than the focal length.
I was just interested since I read the exif of a friends pic of a duck to find 1000mm @f8 on a canon 1D, so I went looking and found that strange thing on the way.
Well, there are those Zeiss f/0.7 lenses that Kubrick used for Barry Lyndon.
Definitely Kathy. I didn't ever imagine anything like this could exist.
