    Hello from Gina in NB

Hi, I'm Gina and I'm trying to figure out how to get better results from my Pentax K100 D that I got a few years ago. I got it because I've had Pentax cameras forever and I had several nice Pentax M lenses already. (Oh how I miss my old B&W film!)

I take countless pictures for my websites and up until now, I've been too lazy to study the manual and got into the habit of fixing my mistakes with Photoshop Elements. Worse still, I often resort to using my Olympus FE-115, just to save time and trouble.

    I know, tsk! tsk!, right?

Anyway, that's in the past and just today I learned where the white balance and ISO setting are, and took a few shots. What a difference!

I'll be back here for sure, asking all sorts of questions.

    Gina

Absolutely. Go and stand in the corner and say sorry to the Great Gods of photography.

Hello Gina - and welcome to CiC. Great to have you on board.

You've maybe seen that most of us tend to use our real names on here. It makes communication more friendly and CiC is that sort of site. Did you know you can go to Edit Profile and enter your proper name under 'Real Name'. Then it will appear underneath your Username in all your posts. You can do the same for your location. Then folks will know where you are. NB? New Brunswick?

Hopefully you've already seen that CiC is a site that's about learning and about poeple with an awful lot of knowledge and experience being willing to share that (which doesn't happen in an awful lot of other places). So please do ask all those questions.
