Willie or Jiro is fine by me.

Cute! A bit too tight on the top crop but still nice. Good use of DOF, Damien.

Superb when viewed at the large size in the ligthbox. And, indeed, I don't think the close crop at the top is such an issue when it is viewed larger. I totally agreed with Willie's view and then clicked on the image to see the larger version. And I changed my mind.

I agree with Donald's views - the only thing I would add is that for me, I think the image would be stronger still without the grey at top right - if you could changed the viewpoint slightly to ensure only grass behind, I think it would be better still.

A good shot never-the-less Damien, well done,

    Thanks so much everyone.

I was a bit disapointed with myself regarding the grey area in the top right, next time i'll be sure to check the background etc, as that is a pathway. i was a bit nervous hanging around so many bumblees and took the shot in haste.

Hi Damien, not everyone sees things the same way. I find the grey area to add a bit of intrigue, mystery if you will, a reason to spend a bit more time evaluating the image. In my mind I removed the grey area and somehow, the result was more stark and less interesting. Either way it is a compelling image.

I'm with Frank. However, I think I'd still like a teensy bit more at the top. Love the colours.
