Good to see you posting again. I don't think you've been here for a while.
I like the idea of the first image. Setting everything at an angle gives it that added feel of being 'different'.
I did wonder if all the paving at the bottom was necessary and whether a crop to a 4:5 aspect ration would not only take some of that out, but would help by placing the head of the photographer more closely to the lower horizontal 'thirds' line.

Awesome! a white ninja in broad daylight! Sorry, I can't help it. On the side, good control on the exposure and depth of field. I am not so sure about the composition and the slanted horizon though.
