I can't seem to exactly pinpoint what it is in the image that catches my attention... but I like it! Simple and yet intriguing. Nice work, Toby.

I liked the general idea, a pleasent image of an ordinary scene, I just think it is too dark. But it may be a personal impression.

I, too, like it very much. The dilemma I've been trying to work out (but haven't yet) is that I think there is just a bit too much black at the bottom. But, at the same time, it needs to be in portrait orientation. A hard crop that took the bottom up so that the transition area was on the lower horizontal third, thus turning it into a landscape format, just wouldn't work in my opinion.
But, at the same time, if you made it a 4 x 5, the transition line would sit just about on half way. Mmmm?? Even my beloved square format takes out too much of that black at the bottom.
But the vision, imagination and creativity involved in making the image are superb.
