For me, the first one works fine but your angle is wrong on the second. Both good shots with regard to exposure and sharpness though.

With the second one, I would suggest moving slightly further away and either have the cat looking upwards or you have to get the camera lower.

But cats have an independent mind and never do what you want.

#1 is a cute photo.Good detail in the image and it's nice and sharp.When i get home i might play around with this image and see if any different crops will work with it,but i have 4 of these at the house who think they need to help me when i get on the computer(such as laying on my pad and or keyboard,walking across the keyboard or attacking things on the screen).Do like the images though...Ron

Yes, the first one is a real winner. The eyes are the key to good cat photography, get the eyes sharp and pretty much everything works.
