Hey everyone, just joined and thought I'd like to get some feedback on some of my shots. I'm fairly new to photography, but am very interested in learning. I took this shot on a recent trip to Old Montreal. Let me know what you think!

Normally I don't go much for selective colourisation shots. But you have done this with great subtlety and very well. Clearly you have the imagination and vision to see an image.

I like this shot a lot. I love the way you've placed the main colour accent on the hydrant, then made the sign lettering less saturated and the red brick muted so that they very effectively play supporting roles which draw the viewer's gaze where you want it to go.
I'm fairly new to photography too, and your image has taught me an important lesson on how to approach selective colourisation.
I agree with Donald. Very few people walking down that street would have seen what you saw in it. Whether inborn or learned, you have a photographers' eye

The tilt in the picture, not a very tight crop.. But again, as I said a very interesting picture.

Like Donald, I'm not really into selective colourisation shots but this has that indefinable something that just grabs me. I would never have seen the potential in this shot so well done you

Thanks Keith - I appreciate the feed back - I really like the lines in the shot, but with the whole scene desaturated, it just felt like it was missing something, so I thought I'd give it a try. Thanks for your time!!
