I've been using Jessops own gloss paper for some time but then got some HP six star stuff and although I couldn't match the colours properly was amazed by the resolution.
Then I got some Canon PR201 and really really liked how easy it was to print straight out extremely high resolution prints {higher than my display}. I gave two away to a museum and one away to a second hand shop, that they have refused to sell.
The only thing I didn't like was the PRICE
So I found some Ilford premium plus with a profile at less than half the price, but I got pearl.
It is distinctly softer although almost identical colour; I printed an image I have already on PR201.
Is that because of quality, or is Pearl softer than Gloss, and is Matt softer than Gloss?
