Congratulations Colin, this is a great image.
Can I ask something about it's creation ? To get the dreamy water effect, i assume you have used a long exposure. However the skyline is quite sharp which suggests to me that
- The boat was moving very smoothly forward without any lateral movement or
- You took a second short exposure image for the skyline
Would you care to let us in on your technique please ?

Thanks folks,
It was pretty much the ONLY shot worth keeping - but my reward for carrying a camera bag and lens for a 3+ hour ferry trip. I thought it might be a nice sunset so I had to get on the iPad and work out what time it was likely to be, and where it was likely to be - and which direction the boat was likely to be pointed at that time - and find a "spot" there (as it turned out, that "spot" was on a rail directly above a couple of cattle trucks -- yes folks, sometimes photography REALLY STINKS!
