Good on-the-spot capture. Tells us a story about an aspect of life in that place.
A couple of suggestions ....
- Maybe a counter-clockwise rotation to level up the shore line. I think that would also add to the dramatic effect of the boat coming up towards you.
- I see you writing that you are just learning on PP. I don't know if you've yet studied the notion of Local Contrast Enhancement (LCE). If not, the CiC tutorial
here is excellent for giving you an understanding of what it's about. I took a copy of your image into the GIMP, one of my PP packages, and put in LCE. In my opinion, it really lifted the scene quite significantly. Made it 'pop'.
Much better after the LCE, what a difference, now it's got a punch. What a colourful boat, you wouldn't like our tugboats![]()
