You really own this type of photography, Thierry. thank you very much for sharing this to us. As a side comment, I would really love to see just a little bit of selective sharpness on the face of the rider and on the horse for impact.
Thanks Willie
These are great shots. You can tell where the horse and rider are going next. I can even tell which leads the horse will pick up in order to get to the next point. I grew up riding jumpers and loved the sport, seeing these pictures makes me miss it. I just purchased a new 3 year old for barrel racing. Wonder what my husband would think, if I trained her for jumping instead. She would stand out being a palomino.. Loved the pictures.
Thanks for your comment sherry
I love these shots thierry, #3 is my favorite, Head & shoulder shots of the rider would be interesting too
Thanks Mick
You've really captured the 'concentration and determination'' on the face of the rider very well and Willie's done a grand job in bringing that out even more.
Just to add that these pics are a great example of the value of black and white in giving prominence to the subject. The blurring of the background too, but the colour version would still have left a lot of distracting green foliage and coloured poles when the drama is really about the horse and rider... Classic shots in every sense!
Very nice Excellent images and also an excellent black and white conversion
