A friend and me both need a new point and click digital camera for around the £250 mark.
The last one I got was a Panasonic Lumix with Leica lens that I was very happy with, until a waitress in Greece dropped it whilst taking a photo of me and my family and the lens popped out!
However, since buying my DSLR i am totally out of touch with what's been happening in the point and click market. So was hoping for some help from someone in the know.
What would you recommend for this sort of cash?
Cheers,
Tom
Apologies if this has been asked a billion times before.
Tom, I've had some very good luck with the Fuji FinePix A700. The reviews aren't all the stellar, but it has served me well for the past couple of years. It has several user set modes in addition to the presets, and has a macro setting that I believe performs quite well. It does tend to get a bit grainy at the higher ISO settings.
It's not the "latest and greatest", but does it's job and has been very reliable. Not sure if it will be of help, but I've attached a couple of photo's taken with it for reference.
Hi Tommy, I had the same question a while back and although we didn't discuss price, a number of recommendations with the justification were provided in this thread. Point 'n Shoot Recommendations
Hope this helps!
I too posted a similar question not too long ago (Which DSLR companion would you pick?) and while I've decided to wait on it for now, the Canon S90/95 seems to be pretty popular.
