New Member and a question..

Hi All,
I've been an enthusiastic amateur for years but have recently been treated to a lovely new camera. Lucky lucky me...but all this new technology makes me want to do a fantastic 'back to basics' workshop or course and I'd really like your recommendations.

I'm based in Cambridge so anywhere in east anglia would be fab.

First of all, welcome to CiC.

Secondly, although you've put your name in this first post which is great, you can set your profile up so that it appears in the side bar alongside all your posts. Just go to Edit Profile and out your name under 'Real Name'. You've maybe seen that most of us tend to use our real names on here. It makes communication more friendly and CiC is that sort of site.

And, thirdly, There may be some members on here who could recommend specific courses. But until then, a study of some of the tutorials on CiC will give you a very solid grounding in the basics. Another option is to buy a copy of one of the weekly or monthly photo magazines and check out the classified ads columns. There are always lots of courses/programmes advertised in there. Of course, without a recommendation you cannot know the quality.

And then there is always this forum, which is very much about helping people learn. So, whether you sign up for a programme or not, your questions on here will always find someone with the answer.
