Thanks for stopping by. We midwesterners will be selling you Texans fresh water if you don't get some rain soon!

I hear you're having a bad time there. The birds would very much appeciate it if you scrubbed it and fillled it with water each day .... assuming it's in your backyard that is...

Here in Michigan the mosquitoes are so bad we are trying not to leave any standing water around the yard... hence the empty birdbath.

I will when it cools of later tonight - but they don't really care too much if it's clean or not. They use it anyway.

    Re: Ode to Texas

I'm thinking of taking some pictures of the dried up cotton fields around here. They won't make for "interesting" photography but this drought is absolutely HISTORIC! The town I live in, Tahoka, is 30 miles south of Lubbock and we have had exactly 2 inches of precipitation since January 1st. More than half of that precipitation was from the snows we received in January and February.

Epmi, we will probably buy the water, but we would much rather you sell us some rain.

As for the photo, the colors and texture make for an interesting subject and very much tell the tale of what Texas has been through this summer.
