That is a REALLY NICE photo! Congrats!
That's a great catch! From you and the bird
Anyone who can capture a kingfisher in any pose deserves my utmost admiration but this one gets a double helping Great stuff!

Superb shot. I'm a member at the famous (in the wildfowl world) Slimbridge Widlfowl & Wetlands trust and they created a habitat for kingfishers but the hide is just too far away to get a decent shot without cropping it to death-even the guy next to me with a 500mm prime was struggling. I managed one reasonable shot but the exif shows 28mm so I think I must have digiscoped it-I don't do that any longer. I settled for just watching through binoculars as the male and female were feeding their offspring down the nest hole in the river bank.
Here it is..Hopefully, I can find a better location one day.As you see, getting a sharp image wasn't achieved... digiscoping requires a different skills set to regular photography and in one magazine I read- 'either do digiscoping or normal photography but not both'
thanks everybody for your comments....
That is a very nice photo of a very interesting bird!
