Nice one.That's a cracking lens.
I'd never have guessed that was a kingfisher.I've just checked them out and there are almost 100 species in three main groupings.... Trees-River-Water, the smallest being the African Dwarf and the largest the Giant and the heaviest isn't called a kingfisher atall - it's the Australian Laughing Kookaburra. It's the Tree group that is suffering most on their 'threatened species' list because of deforestation - this relentless deforestation, especially the illegal activity, is an evil (the orangutans of Indonesia come to mind)
Superb bokeh too. Have you looked to see what a bit of cropping might do ? I was thinking of infront of it but leaving enough 'room' for it to 'fly into' and some from the base line. Just a thought.
