First reactions are that this has got a lovely balanced range of colour and tone. As a result, it's a pleasing image to look at. The idea of combining nature and engineering is a good one and, in this case, works well, because the bridge structure provides a very good frame.
But I do think the whole thing needs to be rotated. If you look at where there are meant to be vertical lines, they are all sloping to teh right. So, it needs a counter-clockwise rotation to straighten those. I think that would make a significant improvement to the image.
First view I'm struggling with the verticals too but putting that aside it's attractive, the colours are warm. How about one outside from a couple of angles to include with the bridge, I expect the bridge is attractive - looks to be a nice location.
I Ilke it Deb! Nice combination of elements!
I like the last edit as well. Seems like there may be some good shots of the gears on the bridge all by themselves....
Scott,
It does look better being straightened. It's good to get this info from others when you don't initially see it yourself. I did take a few shots of the gears as well.

It looks great straightened. I'm a bit of a sucker for metal so take that for what it is worth! I think you did very well it's a nice combination of nature and foundry! Keep them coming...
A lovely combination of man and nature Debbie and all the better for straightening. Well spotted and I look forward to some more.
Thanks everyone for viewing.
