Hello Everyone (I Think),

Hoping I'm in the new 'neighbors section'. Have neither done a forum nor a thread before. I hope to eventually get constructive feedback on my photos. Currently using a Panasonic point and shoot which I like. But, I have been researching which dSLR to buy for so long that companies are coming out with new models. Happened on the CiC tutorials and was really excited because I am into learning. Want to get more creative with my photography just for hobby and fun.

Pat - You are in the right place. And even if you weren't no-one around here gets too formal about these things. The important thing is to be up and running and part of this community.

And it's great to have you on board.

As you've already seen, CiC is very much about learning, here on the forum as well as in the tutorials. And remember, the best way to get answers to questions that are bothering you is to ask. Lots of people feel to shy to ask. Don't . Just get right in there.

And as for cameras being updated - I think I'm now about 4 or 5 models 'behind' the latest ones. But, keep an eye out on the one that's just been replaced by the latest version. You can often get good deals on those and they are not poor cameras just because a new model has come out.

So, join in and don't forget to post up some of your images.
