    Late Evening HDR's

These are a few shots of our local town "Sainte Severe-sur-Indre", the timber framed building is a 15th century Halle. It was made famous in Jacques Tati's film "Jour de Fete".
The caravan is a replica of the caravan used in the film.
I processed them in HDR to show that this market place is just as beautiful at night as it is during the day - "Photomatix 3".

#1 The 15th century "Halle" used for covered farmers markets these days.

    Late Evening HDR's

#2 The same Halle with Tati's caravan in front.

#3 The Halle from the side.

Hi Rob, not having seen the film, I'll just take in the beauty of the structure and its cobblestones. I can almost smell the cool evening air! Reminds me of the cobblestone streets in Newport, RI where I was born and raised.

Stylish and evocative Rob - the HDR brings out not just the luminous warmth but the textures... Tres belle!

Frank - I'm pleased it brought back memories of your youth.
The film was made in 1949 and is now a French Classic, here is a link to the details Jour de Fete

David - thanks for looking and giving your kind comments.
