Nice pics.
LOL, that was my initial reaction when I first scanned over the pics.
I see what you mean Steve, I bet that's so they could put a turbine there in any future development.
But I see that won't be happening Wikipedia
Also explains the (apparent) lack of anything connecting the engine to the airframe!
I prefer the first two of the series - the turbine Wessex.
I think it's a shame outdoor exhibits often looks so 'mothballed', I'd like them unwrapped each day, looking ready for flight
Good grief, what a nice suprise Steve when I scrolled through your pictures and came across the Vulcan I worked on XM 575 when when I was an Aircraft Electrical Mechanic stationed at RAF Scampton 1962-65. I didn't know she was still alive and on show so this is a definite visit for me in the not-too-distant future. A nice series of images to go with her as well.
I wonder why they're all there -I mean that airfield ? Great to see a Vulcan. Nice job,Steve.
I don't know John, I can't see how they even get here. It is surrounded by high banks. Cheers
